My First Time .............   

My first time….  So here I am Blogging! First do a brief introduction, my name is Andy Harvey; I am a director and the founder of The Edge Entertainment Consultants, for those that don’t know we are a well established and successful entertainment agency.  My background before setting up the agency thirteen years ago, has always been in entertainment, radio and events, I worked several years in the cruise industry, been round the world twice and have lived and worked in Las Vegas and Scandinavia.  My first Blogg! Having Googled “blogging rules” I have decided that I am bound to break some, so if you are a member of the blogging police, I’m guilty, sorry .. but never mind. I am delighted to have been asked to do this by Event; I hope to make it informative, occasionally funny and above all relevant. What I don’t want to do is pretend to be something I am not or make it a poorly disguised PR or advert for my company as I think people in our industry are smart enough to see through it.  So that’s the intro, thanks for stopping by, any comments will always be appreciated, along with anything you wish to let me know about. That’s reminds me, on the subject of Intro’s the most honest intro I ever heard at an entertainment showcase was “Ladies & Gentleman, the act you are about to see are C**P but cheap”, they were!  And Finally …………….I need to go as another enquiry comes in for a Michael Jackson tribute, strange really … well I think it’s strange, at what point is it “not cashing in”?

Welcome Andy, I wouldn't worry too much about "blogging rules," as long as what you write is interesting, informative and in some way related to events then you're on a winner.

Are MJ impersonators going to be the new Elvis impersonators?! I.e. coming in all shapes and sizes as long as they've got a quiff and jumpsuit / white glove and moonwalk?

They say MJ was the all round entertainer. But my girlfriend saw a doppleganger in Spain, about 10 years ago; and he did magic!
